Little Johnny’s Answer Left the Whole Class Speechless

The classroom was buzzing with excitement. The teacher had decided to play a new game to help students learn spelling and share a little about their families. One by one, the children stood up proudly, talking about their fathers’ jobs and what they might give the class.

Marcy went first. “My father is a banker. B-A-N-K-E-R. And if he were here, he’d give everyone a shiny penny.” The class clapped politely.

Next came Jeff. “My father is an accountant. A-K… no wait… A-C-K…” He struggled so much that the teacher gently asked him to sit down and think about it.

That’s when Little Johnny’s hand shot up into the air. He was smiling, confident, and clearly ready.

The teacher sighed quietly but called on him anyway.

Johnny stood up proudly and said, “My father is a dancer.”

The teacher blinked. “A dancer?”

“Yes, ma’am,” Johnny said. “He dances at a club.”

The class started whispering, but the teacher continued. “Alright, Johnny. Can you spell dancer?”

Johnny nodded. “D-A-N-C-E-R.”

“Very good,” the teacher said cautiously. “And what would your father give everyone if he were here today?”

Johnny grinned from ear to ear.

“He’d give all the boys a dollar… and all the girls a kiss.”

The classroom exploded with laughter, the teacher covered her face trying not to laugh, and Johnny sat down like he had just delivered the performance of his life.

Sometimes, honesty really is the funniest answer of all.
