The classroom was buzzing with excitement. The teacher had decided to play a new game to help students learn spelling and share a little about their families. One by one, the children stood up proudly, talking about their fathers\u2019 jobs and what they might give the class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Marcy went first. \u201cMy father is a banker. B-A-N-K-E-R. And if he were here, he\u2019d give everyone a shiny penny.\u201d The class clapped politely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Next came Jeff. \u201cMy father is an accountant. A-K\u2026 no wait\u2026 A-C-K\u2026\u201d He struggled so much that the teacher gently asked him to sit down and think about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s when Little Johnny\u2019s hand shot up into the air. He was smiling, confident, and clearly ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The teacher blinked. \u201cA dancer?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, ma\u2019am,\u201d Johnny said. \u201cHe dances at a club.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The class started whispering, but the teacher continued. \u201cAlright, Johnny. Can you spell dancer?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Johnny nodded. \u201cD-A-N-C-E-R.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVery good,\u201d the teacher said cautiously. \u201cAnd what would your father give everyone if he were here today?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Johnny grinned from ear to ear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019d give all the boys a dollar\u2026 and all the girls a kiss.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The classroom exploded with laughter, the teacher covered her face trying not to laugh, and Johnny sat down like he had just delivered the performance of his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
